This 13-day tour to Israel & Jordan is limited to a maximum of 35 guests, complete with an expert tour director, driver, and local guides who ensure that your health and safety are the top priorities.

Join us on this spiritual journey focusing on the life and times of Jesus, the origin of our faith, and Christian culture. Explore the times and periods where Our Lord walked. Imagine yourself in Galilee, Capernaum where Jesus began his journey and recruited his first disciple. Or, imagine listening to the voice of Jesus preaching the sermon on the Mount. Experience the Golden City of Jerusalem, walk the Stations of the Cross on the Via Dolorosa, and reflect on our Lord’s sacrifice for humanity. Stand where Jesus ascended into heaven on the Mt. of Olives. Additionally, our journey takes us to Jordan and the forgotten city of Petra, one of the world’s most famous archeological sites.

Day 1 – May 10, 2022: Departure

Day 2 – May 11, 2022: AKKO & HAIFA
Upon arrival in Tel Aviv, at Ben Gurion Airport, you will be met by your guide and begin your tour of the Holy Land! A short drive up the coast from Tel Aviv, we arrive at Akko, the perfect place to begin your exploration of the Holy Land. For thousands of years, Akko (Acre) has thrived on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. The city was first mentioned in the Bible as part of the tribe of Asher’s inheritance and then reappeared as Ptolemais in the book of Acts. Akko’s impressive harbor was known for centuries as the Gateway to the Holy Land, and here thousands of ships brought international dignitaries, lumber, spices, and other exotic goods. Akko is the best-preserved Crusader city in the country, with its deep-water port, was the Crusaders link with Christian Europe. Here we will admire the views of the impressive crusader fortress, walk on the stone walls overlooking the Mediterranean, and meander through the colorful markets. From here we drive to Haifa, on the Slopes of Mount Carmel. Its mountain top is the home of the “Cave of Elijah.” Atop Mount Carmel is this grotto linked to the prophets Elijah and Elisha. We will also visit a monastery by the name of Stella Maris, Latin for “Star of the Sea” referring to an early title accorded to Mary, the mother of Jesus. Then we gather at the Antonia Palace to walk the Via Dolorosa, the Way of the Cross or the Way of Suffering, where nearly 2000 years ago Jesus of Nazareth carried his cross to his crucifixion. We conclude the Via Dolorosa at the site of Calvary for Mass at the Crusader’s Chapel in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. We take a moment here to reflect on the sorrows of Jesus and to repent our own sins. And he said to him, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.” We enjoy a guided tour of the Holy Sepulcher and the Empty Tomb. The rest of the day is free to explore on your own. Back to our hotel for dinner and the evening. (B, D)

Day 11 – May 20, 2022: BETHANY QUMRAN – JORDAN RIVER – DEAD SEA SWIM
Our first stop is at the little village of Bethany, on the eastern slope of the Mount of Olives about 3km from Jerusalem. It was a favourite place of rest and refuge for Jesus. Here he knew the friendship of his friends Martha, Mary, and Lazarus. And here, in the cemetery just below the village, he raised Lazarus from the dead. We continue through the Jordan Valley where Jesus walked with His disciples; we stop at the baptismal site on the banks of the Jordan River, Qasr al-Yahud. Thereafter we stop in Qumran, the site of the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls. We stop to view the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth, with an optional swim in the salty water. Day 12 – May 21, 2022: JERUSALEM / FREE TIME TO PACK / EMMAUS/ TEL AVIV JAFFA/ FAREWELL DINNER/ DEPARTURE
After our breakfast in the morning, we take some time to pack and get ready for our evening flight.
Today is our last touring day in the Holy Land. We will drive to the village of Emmaus. This village was the setting for one of the most touching of Christ’s post-resurrection appearances. After Jesus’ resurrection, two men (one of them named Cleopas) were walking from Jerusalem to a village called Emmaus (Luke 24:13, 18). The men did not recognize Jesus when he appeared to them and began walking with them on the road to Emmaus (Luke 24:14-16). Here we visit a church dedicated to this event.

Then, we will be driving to the modern city of Tel Aviv. We will enjoy a tour of the city by bus. Finally, we arrive in the biblical town of Joppa known today as Jaffa. Peter came to Joppa from Lydda to raise Tabitha (Dorcas) from the dead (Acts 9:36-42). While in Joppa, the apostle stayed at the house of Simon the Tanner. When Peter was praying on the roof, he had a vision of a large sheet filled with animals being lowered from heaven (Acts 9:43–10:23), signaling to him to go with the messengers from Cornelius, a centurion in the Roman army. The Church of St. Peter marks the traditional site of Peter’s vision of the great sheet. (A farewell dinner in Jaffa – optional) and drive to Ben Gurion Airport.
